In Summer 2026, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Japan through Texas State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. During the program, I traveled through Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima while creating digital and written stories about Japanese culture, traditions, and experiences. I covered everything from traditional tea ceremonies and historic landmarks to shopping and everyday life in Japan. Beyond strengthening my storytelling and content creation skills, the experience challenged me to become more independent, adaptable, and confident creating content in an unfamiliar environment.
