I’m currently pursuing a degree in Digital Media Innovation. With this degree my goal is to build a career in social media marketing. My passion lies in helping companies create and share content that truly resonates with their audiences. In the media world, it’s so important to take advantage of every opportunity when starting out—because that’s how you discover what you love. That’s exactly the approach I’ve taken.
I began working on content-related projects about two years ago, and from the very beginning, I knew it was where I wanted to be. Today, I serve as the Marketing Coordinator for the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Texas State University. In this role, I collaborate with students and alumni to shape a brand that’s business- and career-focused. It has allowed me to gain great knowledge that has helped me on the business side. The community I have gained there has helped me succeed in school and give me the confidence to put myself out there in the media world.
Along the way, I’ve gained hands-on experience through two internships. At SXSW, I worked to highlight their events through photo, video, and written content. I also interned with Bazaar, a bar in San Marcos, which opened the door to incredible opportunities. That experience allowed me to step into a lead social media role at Bazaar, where I continue to manage and grow their online presence. Through that connection, I’ve also had the chance to shadow with Nova and assist with events like Coffee and Chill, creating engaging videos and connecting with amazing people. My journey in social media has been eye-opening and rewarding. Every experience has strengthened my passion for this field, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
